Latest News for ATAA Councillors and Board members - February 2012  |

                | | Dear Councillor,

NEW SLIDE SETS TO DISPLAY AT YOUR MEETINGS
 I
am sending this email to all ATAA Chapter Councillors and board
members, and I hope that you will find it useful in your own official
role with the ATAA. (If you are no longer an ATAA Councillor, please
send me an email to update my records - simply reply to this email.)

 At
the last board meeting I was nominated as the ATAA director responsible
for Marketing and Member Services. You would have seen in our National
President's email recently that our year-on-year membership numbers, and
hence our financial situation, is in a "downtrend". And so we all need
to pitch in and do what we can to rectify this.

 We already have a
wealth of skills and information amongst our members, so In my role I
want to help you all to leverage off each other's ideas, tools and
successes. So I will be keen to share information with you from time to
time throughout the year - perhaps on a monthly basis.

In this email below is some information about the new slide sets that we have available for your chapter use.

If you have something to share, please feel free to write to me.

            | | | Marketing news - Now!
 | | FIRSTLY,
there are two sets of slides that members have prepared for use in
their own chapter each month, and these are shared with you below -
please see the details.
   MORE IDEAS?
 - The National President's recent email regarding membership numbers
and finances drew quite some feedback, and a number of suggestions and
ideas. We are slowly working on these. As you could imagine, it can
take a while for good ideas to be progressed by volunteers, before the
members see the results. To help us move faster, we are always on the
lookout for talented people to assist in key roles (eg. the recently
new Chapter Marketing Coordinator role). We already have a
short list of volunteer names, but feel free to write to me if you have
something else you would like to offer.   |
 | | ATAA MARKETING materials - the Slides! | | We have two sets of slides that you can show at your Chapter meetings, and at your local Trading and Investing Expo
(Perth, Sydney, Melbourne). The purpose of these slides is to explain
to people about the ATAA (and entice them to join), and about technical
analysis.  You
can downlod these slides, and show them using a laptop computer or a
media player. You can project these slides using a large LCD computer
monitor, or a TV screen, or a data projector.  The slides are set up to
cycle in sequence, depending on the display method you choose.
 The two slide sets are:
The ATAA and Technical Analysis - We can help you!Technical Analysis - What is it?
 These
slides are available for you to download in three different formats - a
set of jpeg files, a PDF file, and a PPS automatic viewing version.
 It
would be great if someone in your Chapter could take on the task of
downloading the slides, and displaying them at your Chapter meetings for
the benefit of visitors, new members, and of course all the members
present. You can download these slides sets from this temporary web page . We have been using these slides at the Melbourne Chapter meetings for a couple of months now, with very positive feedback. |
 | | Newspaper articles | | Many of our ATAA
members will know that for a couple of years now, five of the Melbourne
ATAA members have been contributing to articles in the Tuesday edition
of The Age Melbourne newspaper. We prepare a price chart, make
some notes, and send the material to a journalist who embellishes the
material and submits for publication. In 2012, these articles are also
published in the Sydney Morning Herald, and on various Fairfax web
sites.

  You can see a
summary list of all these articles, details about them, where they are
published, and view the articles from a link on this web page:www.robertbrain.com/ataa/ .  Feel
free to encourage your members and others to watch The Age and SMH
paper on a Tuesday, and to look for these articles on line. It will also
be beneficial for the ATAA if you could click on the related "Like" and
other buttons on the Fairfax web pages. This will help to promote the
ATAA in the broader community.

 | We do hope you find this information and the materials useful. Please feel free to send feedback and ideas.More marketing and related information coming in a few weeks time.

 Best Regards

 | At some stage in the future, these emails and related materials will all be managed by the new ATAA web site. Until then, Robert Brain and Brainy's Share Market Toolbox is hosting these facilities.
If you are no longer an ATAA Councillor, please email Robert Brain to have you
taken off the mailing list manually (please don't use the UnSubscribe option at this stage).
